The Barber family has been farming and making cheese in Somerset since the early 1800's. In addition to this we remain the only guardians and producers of a traditional starter culture collection left in the UK. The MT25 Starter Culture produces the typically powerful and complex flavours associated with Barber's 1833 and provides a classic cheddar profile with a well rounder character and just a hint of sweeter note.
